Reading the site

Fonts and illustrations are served locally. Opening a page does not itself load Google Fonts, media players or photographs from news outlets. External sources open only when you follow their links.

Your browser may locally remember animation preferences and your temporary reading position when switching language or script. These data are not sent to the editors and can be deleted in browser settings.

Contact form and processor

The Citizens’ Initiative’s public editorial contact is the contact form. Submissions include the message type, text, optional public link, optional reply email and the related entry identifier when arriving from its page.

Messages are sent to Formspree, which processes and forwards them to the initiative’s privately configured recipient. The service may also process technical data needed for delivery, abuse prevention and spam protection, including an IP address and request data.

Formspree is a separate service provider, and processing may involve infrastructure outside BiH. Read its privacy policy before submitting. An additional CAPTCHA check may open on Formspree’s page when required.

Purpose and retention

We use voluntarily submitted messages to respond, check facts, handle corrections or consider suggested public sources. We do not use them for advertising or mailing lists.

Our editorial policy is to delete handled contact messages from the inbox within 90 days after communication ends, unless longer retention is necessary for a specific legal claim. Formspree’s retention depends on the active plan and its rules. This deadline requires regular editorial action.

If information becomes part of a public entry, we publish only relevant, verified content, without the sender’s private email or other unnecessary personal information.

Your choices and requests

Email is optional: you can submit without one, but we then cannot reply directly. We do not request a name, phone number, address or national identification number.

For access, correction or deletion of data in your message, contact us through the same form with enough information to locate it. Do not send identity or medical document copies. The Personal Data Protection Agency of BiH is the competent authority for rights and complaints.

Information not to send

Do not send diagnoses, treatment details, medical findings, patient identities or other sensitive data. The form is not a secure channel for medical records and is not a healthcare service.

Website delivery and technical protection

Cloudflare provides network protection and delivery for this website, while its static content is stored on a VPS. For delivery and security, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser information and technical request data under its privacy policy. Security checks may use technical cookies. We do not enable visitor or marketing analytics.

The web server does not keep a visitor access log. Service errors are retained for up to seven days and administrative and security logs for up to 30 days, with restricted access. Contact messages do not pass through this server. Cloudflare and Formspree determine their own data-retention policies.

The initiative’s public name is not a promise of anonymity towards service providers or competent authorities.
