Why this archive exists
Decades of reports and announcements are hard to follow when scattered across different outlets. We connect them into a verifiable timeline, with dates, sources and responses.
Our starting point is patients’ right to dignified treatment facilities and healthcare workers’ right to appropriate working conditions. Families, nearby residents and the wider community share an interest in a lawful, professional and lasting solution.
Our interest and proposal, openly stated
Direct experience of living near this location is part of the initiative’s motivation. We openly connect the interest in a healthy, well-managed neighbourhood with the public interest in better conditions for patients.
We propose a new clinic at the current location, connected to a medical and university campus. This is our proposal for public and expert discussion. Existing plans and different institutional positions are presented with sources.
An independent citizens’ initiative
The editors’ public name is Citizens’ Initiative. This name does not present us as a registered association or official body. The site is not affiliated with UKC, the Clinic, the University, the City, the Government or a political party.
We do not represent patients, their families or staff without authorisation. The site provides neither healthcare services nor individual medical advice.
Change should be visible
We also record donations, repairs, new facilities and other documented improvements. If institutions respond or conditions change, that information should appear alongside earlier entries.
Content is edited manually. A source review date does not guarantee that no new events have occurred since then.
